Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour point depressant pumps which might be 18m in length and the opposite 4 are methanol carry pumps which may be 10m lengthy.
Factors of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which have been designed and built along the length of the pumps to observe the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m lengthy pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank throughout set up ensuring that because the pump is lowered into the tank it stays completely aligned, decreasing vibration and put on throughout operation.
Once assembled, the pumps have been independently witness tested and certified by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps have been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore the place the FPSO (floating production storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump supply and set up had to align with the FPSO build schedule. Because of the size of the pumps, they had to be installed into the vessel’s tanks via the deck earlier than another deck above the pumps might be constructed. The first section was accomplished efficiently over the Christmas interval with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning staff supporting the client with the installation and commissioning.
The FPSO will be positioned within the KG-DWN 98/2 field, roughly 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to supply up to 90 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It shall be geared up to deal with the monsoon situations prevalent on the area.
